She throws the stones
In the fire
Place of grandma past
She can’t help
The tears stream down
Covering her face
Her cousin calls
He’s lost sight
Of her very presence
Wondering why
She’d sit and cry
Round nothing but a ruin
For he can call here
Every day
Knows precisely
From where he comes
But she has only
Come to know
From where she comes
With these stones
People move
Migrate around
Looking for some hope
People move
Don’t look back
Looking to survive
But who are we
Where do we fit
Some eventually ask
Where can we flow
Feel at home
Heart and stomach full
