ONE – By ElizaBeth Coira

One_ElizaBeth Coira_HomeGrownSojourner

Unique and special
Yet One
Aren’t we

My sister
My brother
My friend

Must we fight
Constantly compete
Subjugate to win
For what in the end

I’d like to dance
Down by the lake
For there at peace
Is the plane I’ve heard of

Devoid of right
Far away from wrong
Existence so different
From the stories been told

Scripts we’ve sold
Along with our souls
But I no longer buy it
This time with my life
